Love, Joy, Peace...
Where to Find Us:
Our church is located at 4186 Dot Road, Springfield TN, 37172. If you're coming from Springfield, take HWY 161 out of town, until you turn right onto Dot Road. The church will be on the right side of the road. It's a beautiful country drive, so take time to enjoy the scenery!
When to Find Us:
You can find us on Sunday Mornings at 10:00 am, Sunday Nights at 5:30 pm, and Wednesday Nights at at 5:30 pm for dinner and 6:30pm for Bible study. Our Sunday morning normally dismisses around 11:45, no later than noon. Our Sunday night services run for about an hour and a half, and we do our best to dismiss no later than 7:30pm on Wednesdays so the kids can get home and get in the bed!
What to Expect:
Sunday Mornings: Worshiping as a family is important to us, so we begin with corporate worship right at 10, adults and children altogether. We usually sing a few songs, take up an offering, share announcements and pray together during this time. Around 10:30 we will dismiss the children (ages 2-12th grade) to their Sunday school classes. There are LOTS of babies at Hope, and most stay with their parents during Sunday school, but if moms need to nurse or dads need to rock a baby, we have space for that. The noise of children does not bother us. In fact, it thrills us! Adults stay in the sanctuary for the sermon, and most of the time the children come back into the main sanctuary in time for dismissal. You can see our Hope Kids and Hope High pages for more information about Sunday School!
Sunday Night: Sunday night services are very casual and laid back. We sing a few worship songs and someone will give a sermon. If you're looking for fellowship, this is a great service to attend. Most people hang out and talk before and after, and oftentimes we have guests from other congregations who want to fellowship.
Wednesday Night: Wednesday nights begin with dinner in the fellowship hall at 5:30 (ish). We usually rotate through meals like spaghetti, taco salad, sandwiches, red beans and rice, and pizza. When service begins at 6:30, our youth praise band leads us in a song before heading back to bible study with our Hope Kids director, Sis. Lauren. Adults stay in the sanctuary for Bible study with Pastor Joseph or one of our other ministers.
What Should I Wear?
Our congregation is made up of people from all walks of life, so when we say, "wear whatever makes you feel comfortable," we mean it! On Sunday mornings you will see everything from women in dresses to women in jeans and t-shirts. Pastor Joseph might wear a suit one Sunday and a fishing shirt and khakis the next Sunday. We can almost guarantee someone will be wearing overalls. Our church is in a rural neighborhood, and most of our congregants are small-town people. There's no need to buy a new outfit.. unless you want to!
