On Sundays, our service begins with all congregants together in the sanctuary for praise and worship. During the sermon, students 2 years through 12th grade are dismissed to Sunday School. Babies usually stay with parents or other family members; however, there is a rocking chair in the women's restroom, changing tables in the men's and women's restrooms, and space in the foyer to walk around or sit if babies need a break during the sermon. We don't mind the noise, though. All members of the family are welcome in our services, no matter what age.
Our Sunday School classes all use the same curriculum, "God's Word for Life" from the Pentecostal Publishing House, so students will be learning the same lessons, but at their grade level. Their classes all incorporate prayer, Bible lessons, games, and activities.
Hope Kids' Services
On the first Sunday of every other month (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov), our young people take over the service. Our youth praise band lead us in worship, and our Kids' Director or one of our Sunday School teachers will bring a sermon directed toward the young people. Sometimes we incorporate action songs, puppet shows, games, and other activities. The best part about these services is that all of our members, regardless of age, enjoy them! Worship is usually a little more energetic and loud, there's a lot of laughter, and the altars will always be full by the end of service. We are really experiencing revival amongst our young people. They want to be a part of what God is doing at Hope, and it shows!
